Aperture and DOF – foodphotography exercise

I've decided take part in the series of exercises in food photography  from My Diverse Kitchen.
The first exercise is about aperture and consists in taking two photos using a 50mm lens with the only variation being the aperture..

In both photos there’s natural light coming from the right side. I've used a reflector on the left and shot at ISO 200.

Aperture 2.8 (left photo) and 5.6 (right photo)

Can't wait for the next exercise!

  1. Thank you for joining in this month. Your choice of strawberries on brown paper is interesting. The crinkled paper adds lovely texture to the photograph.
